Synonym

Synonym is another natural evolution in my work on prop-less mind reading, continuing my exploration of what can be achieved with nothing but words and thought.

It introduces a new approach to secretly discovering the first letter of a thought-of name or word. Synonym carries the distinctive style of thinking that those familiar with my work have come to know and love, and uses minimal scripting and a short instruction to guide the spectator to focus on letters of the alphabet in a specific, theatrically justified way. The process takes place entirely in their mind and can be brief or take as long as they wish. This allows you to secretly trace their thoughts backwards and discover the letter they started on.

That first letter provides the starting point for a complete revelation. The book also covers the established techniques that have become standard practice with this style of name and word guessing, including how to secretly obtain a second letter from the thought-of word.
